Small Wonders: WeWild Africa's Partnership with Wild and Free

WeWild Africa extends its reach beyond the iconic giants of the African wilderness to embrace the smaller, often overlooked species. In collaboration with Wild and Free, an NGO dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation, we are focusing on the conservation of bush babies, among other small animals.

WeWild Africa funds the Wild and Free involves rehabilitation efforts on a monthly basis, ensuring that the tiny creatures, from the bush babies to the owls, receive the care and protection they need. The rehabilitation process for bush babies and other small animals is meticulous and requires a deep understanding of their unique needs. From providing appropriate nutrition to creating environments that mimic their natural habitat, every aspect is carefully managed to ensure successful future rewilding.

Further to the funding provided to Wild and Free, the team at WeWild Africa provides ongoing guidance and support to their management team and also facilitates all of the rewilding processes.

The Wild and Free Wildlife Centre, a registered non-profit organisation in South Africa, is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of indigenous wildlife. Their mission, encapsulated in the motto “Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release,” focuses on providing compassionate care to animals and ensuring their return to natural habitats. The center operates solely on donations from individuals and companies who share their commitment to wildlife conservation. They emphasize the importance of restoring animals to their rightful place in the wild and work tirelessly towards this goal. Each animal in their care is treated with respect and compassion, receiving the best possible rehabilitation to thrive once again in their natural environment. The center also features a TV series titled “Wild Orphan Rescue,” filmed by Ukulele Marketing, showcasing their efforts in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
