A Year On: UK Rewilded Cheetahs Thrive in Africa

View: A Global First: From the UK to South Africa for the preceding article on the historical move of rewilding these two captive-born cheetahs.

A year has passed since WeWild Africa achieved a world-first by successfully rewilding two captive-born cheetahs, Saba and Nairo, from the UK to South Africa. Today, we are thrilled to report that they are thriving and hunting wild game in their new home at Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve in the Great Karoo.

We recently paid a visit to Mount Camdeboo to conduct a routine health check on Saba and Nairo. Our team, along with expert veterinarians, were pleased to find both cheetahs in excellent health, showcasing their successful adaptation to the wild environment.
